Hattar, April 14, 2025. As part of a heartfelt series of commemorative events to honor the remarkable life and legacy of Sir Anwar Pervez, OBE, HPk in Pakistan;
The first event took place in Sir Anwar's native village, Thathi, on April 13th, where close family, friends and members of the local community gathered to pay homage to his inspiring journey.
The second event followed on April 14th at the Hattar Factory, where employees, local business leaders, and administration officials joined in the remembrance.
The glimpses are from the Hattar Plant event on April 14, 2025. Lord Zameer Choudrey and senior directors of Bestway Group reflected on his legacy through personal stories, expressions of admiration and heartfelt tributes.
The third event in the series was held on April 15th at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner and Lord Wajid Khan of Burnley, a UK Minister graced the event. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, former Ambassador of Pakistan to the UN, US and UK and Dr Ishrat Hussain, renowned economist and former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan. The exclusive gathering was attended by Governor State Bank, Mr Jameel Ahmad, amongst other senior dignitaries and prominent members of the business community, government representatives and civil society leaders to pay tribute to a legacy that continues to inspire across generations.
All three events were hosted by Sir Pervez’s nephew, Lord Zameer Choudrey, CBE, SI Pk, to celebrate the visionary founder of Bestway Group.
